Arthur Maugendre is a seasoned 3D artist and environment designer with over a decade of experience crafting rich, immersive worlds for virtual reality, video games, and interactive storytelling. With a foundation in traditional drawing and a lifelong passion for video games, Arthur’s work sits at the intersection of emotion, technology, and visual art.
He has contributed to a wide range of celebrated immersive experiences, including the award-winning cosmic VR journey SPHERES, the sensory-driven short Umami, and the emotionally charged JFK Memento, which recreates a pivotal moment in history with powerful realism. His work on The Dawn of Art, a stunning VR recreation of the Chauvet Cave, brought ancient storytelling into the modern age—and, along with JFK Memento, helped earn nominations that led to his membership in the Television Academy as a VFX artist.
Arthur’s environments are never just digital spaces—they are atmospheric, emotionally resonant worlds designed to support powerful narratives. His approach combines technical precision with a strong artistic vision, enabling him to work seamlessly across creative, historical, and cinematic VR productions.
